Creswell High School offers 7 Career and Technical Education (CTE) programs of study that allow students to explore career interests while gaining applicable skills and knowledge.

Agriculture

The Agricultural CTE program offers students hands-on learning in plant science, agribusiness, environmental science, and agricultural technology. It prepares them for careers or further education in agriculture through classroom instruction, practical experiences (like greenhouses, labs, and internships), industry certifications, and involvement in leadership organizations like FFA.

Welding

The Welding CTE program provides students with practical training in welding techniques such as MIG, TIG, and stick welding. It covers safety, tool use, and blueprint reading, preparing students to work on structural, industrial, or artistic projects. Graduates earn certifications and are equipped for careers in industries like construction and manufacturing or to pursue further education in the welding field.

Woods

The Woods CTE program teaches students woodworking, carpentry, and construction skills, covering topics like safety, tool usage, blueprint reading, joinery, and furniture making. Students gain hands-on experience with power tools, hand tools, and CAD software to create wood projects. The program also offers industry certifications, such as OSHA safety training and carpentry credentials, preparing students for careers in woodworking, construction, or related fields. Graduates can enter the workforce or pursue further education in carpentry, construction management, or skilled trades.

Health

The Health CTE program prepares students for careers in healthcare by offering hands-on training, relevant coursework, and certification opportunities in fields like nursing, medical assisting, pharmacy technology, and sports medicine. Students learn anatomy, medical terminology, patient care, and healthcare ethics, gaining practical experience through labs, internships, and clinical rotations. The program also provides industry-recognized credentials, such as CPR certification and CNA licensure, helping students enter the workforce or continue their education in healthcare.

Visual Arts

The Visual Arts CTE program equips students with creative and technical skills in drawing, painting, digital design, photography, and more. The curriculum covers art history, design principles, digital media, and portfolio development. Students gain hands-on experience with traditional and digital tools, including software like Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator. The program also offers opportunities for certifications, art exhibitions, and internships. Graduates can pursue careers in graphic design, animation, or illustration, or continue their education in visual arts.

Business

The Business CTE program provides students with skills for careers in business, entrepreneurship, finance, and marketing, covering topics like accounting, management, economics, and marketing strategies. Students gain hands-on experience through projects, internships, and competitions like FBLA. The program also offers industry-recognized certifications in areas such as Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and entrepreneurship, preparing graduates to enter the workforce or pursue further education in business.

Early Childhood Education

The ECE CTE program prepares students for careers in childcare, teaching, and child development, covering topics like child growth, lesson planning, classroom management, and safety. Students gain hands-on experience through internships in preschool settings or childcare centers. The program also offers industry-recognized certifications, such as CPR, First Aid, and the CDA credential, helping students either enter the workforce immediately or continue their education in related fields.

Bulldog Enterprises are student- run ventures that bring together all seven of the Career and Technical Education pathways offered at Creswell High School. Bulldog Enterprises gives students hands-on experience in these fields while teaching valuable skills such as teamwork, entrepreneurship, and problem-solving, that help them get a feel for jobs they are interested in. By working together students bring their classroom knowledge to life in the real business world.
