Dear Parents and Guardians,
I am excited to share that Creswell High School’s bell schedules will change slightly beginning February 5th – the first day of second semester. This minor change allows us to increase instructional minutes during the school year and provides adequate and meaningful time for instructional staff to collaborate in professional learning communities – ultimately improving instruction and student academic success.
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday of each week will begin ten (10) minutes earlier at 8:15 AM.
Wednesdays will begin 20 minutes later at 8:45 AM.

Last year, Advanced Education Services (AES) conducted their regular accreditation process for Creswell HS. AES provided feedback to us in several areas with specific attention to two areas that focused on instructional improvement. We believe that we can increase opportunities for learning and success if we increase instructional hours and provide meaningful professional learning community time for instructional staff. This can be accomplished by:
- Increasing the number of instructional minutes each week and providing additional opportunities for students to access intervention support, career related activities, and college connection opportunities, and
- Providing a dedicated and focused meeting time for instructional staff to work together in professional learning communities.
Students arriving on Wednesdays between 7:00-8:40 AM will be able to access the commons and library (when not otherwise occupied for staff activities). Additionally, the third Wednesday of each month will offer an academic intervention time for students to meet directly with teachers. Students can set up appointments with their teachers to meet and receive more individualized support, including time for assignments, projects, and assessments.
