Creslane Families,

I am happy to share that we have filled the position of “Family Support Services” with Kaylei Dumas. Kaylei brings experience in working with families and will be the perfect fit to our team. Kaylei is available to help families locate community services and fill needs families in our school community face.  She is partnering with the school counselor, Jessica Izsak, as well as the Family Resource Center. She is a great resource if you find yourself in a position of need.

OBOB battles will be coming to an end this week. We are down to the final four teams as they battle to represent Creslane in the Regional Oregon Battle of the Books competition held in March. These kids have all worked hard as teams and showed strong dedication.

The playground is officially open and ready for students to play on. A team of teachers came together to put together a video showing students how to safely play on the play structures. Last Friday kids were able to  get out there and test it out. Thank you to the community for supporting our students as they collected money through the jog-a-thon to build new playground structures.

Kindergarten Registration is scheduled for March 19th from 5:30-7:00pm at Creslane. Please help spread the word to families who have a child turning five before September 1st, 2020. Kindergarten registration gives us a good idea of how many kids to expect next year and allows us plenty of time to plan for the class of 2033!

If you are in the neighborhood please stop in to look at the lost and found. When the sun breaks through and the rain takes a pause kids tend to peel off their sweatshirts and jackets.

This week we invite you to join us for “Coffee with the Principals” from 8-9am on Tuesday, February 11th. This is an informal opportunity to come talk with other parents and ask questions of the admin team. Stay for as long or little as you like and enjoy some coffee.

February PTO meeting is scheduled for Tuesday February 11th at 6pm. Childcare provided. Hope to see you there.

Friday, February 14th is Valentine’s day. Teachers will individually share details of their class activities.

Monday, February 17th is a no school day in observance of Presidents Day.
