Mustang Families,
It is hard to believe we are in the final weeks of 2019. During this time of year we often become swept up in the busyness of holiday and seasonal activities. We generally end the month of December by taking time to reflect on the past year, and look to make goals and plans for the year to come. This is a good opportunity to reflect on how far your student has come and to set a goal with your student for what is next. Use information that was shared at parent-teacher conferences along with your child’s input to create goals that are attainable and relevant to where they are now and where you want them to be.
We had 92% of our families come engage in conversations with teachers last month at conferences. For those who were not able to attend please know we are still available and willing to touch base with you on your child’s social and academic progress.
We are excited to announce the hire of our new elementary school counselor! Jessica Izsak is our newest Mustang. She has a background in criminal justice, human services as well as counseling. She has been spending her first official week visiting classes, introducing herself to students, and getting to know how she can serve our school community. We are excited to see how she supports the social and mental wellness in our school.
Coffee with the Principal will be next Tuesday, December 10th from 8-9am in the school library. This is an informal opportunity to ask questions, hear about what is happening at Creslane and connect with other parents. Hope to see you there! Stop in for as long as your schedule allows, even if only for a few minutes.
The Creslane Choir and Ukulele players will be showcasing their hard work at the Winter Concert. Under the direction of Erik Telfer, the students are ready to dazzle the audience December 10th at 7pm in the Creslane gym.
The December PTO meeting will be held next Tuesday, December 10th at 6 pm in the Creslane Library. (Before the Winter Concert) Childcare is provided. Please come to hear about how you can support the school, be connected with other parents, and know what is happening in the coming months. Like…..
