3-5th grade Parents: This week Ms. Lee in the Library spoke to classes about joining Oregon Battle of the Books (OBoB). If you are interested in your child participating ask them to bring home a permission slip. Coaches are needed to guide the teams if you are interested and available. Support will be provided to those interested adults. We are hoping to have many kids join this academic competition. This is a good opportunity to build teamwork, motivate reading and challenge those who are driven by academic tasks. Any 3rd-5th grade student can participate. We need forms turned in my October 10th so teams can begin reading right away. If you have questions please check with homeroom teachers or contact the Library Assistant, Steffanni, by email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
September “Mustangs of the Month” was announced last Monday. We are so thrilled to brag about our students. This year every teacher will be recognizing one student every month. These students are kids who follow the rules, make safe choices, and show kindness. Students of the month are kids who will go above and beyond to build on the positive school culture. Look for their picture in The Chronicle.
