This is a time when you are developing as a student and a person.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Use the library.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Visit the College and Career Center.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Enter essay, speech contests, for scholarships and awards.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Pursue extracurricular activities. Join or start a club.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Evaluate your college-financing plan.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">In the spring, review your curriculum plan. Ensure that your scheduling requests for sophomore year meet your career\/education goals.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Get \u00a0involved in your community by being of service to others.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: left\">Find some internships or a hobby that could potentially turn into a career.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<ul>\n<li>Start to attend events on college campuses (plays, concerts, sporting events, activities related to your major, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Get to know your high school counselor and stop by the College and Career Center.
