Home » WEATHER-RELATED CHANGES TO SUMMER PROGRAMS

Dear CSD Summer Enrichment Families:

Next week’s weather forecast calls for extreme heat and, due to the construction taking place at Creslane Elementary, air conditioning is not
available. Because of this, the classrooms reach very high temperatures when it is hot outside.
To protect the health and safety of our students and staff, we have made the difficult choice to modify our summer programming during the
week of 7/25 – 7/28.

Grades 1-5 Summer Enrichment

● For 1st – 5th grade classes, the FINAL day of summer school will now be Monday, July 25th. There will be NO CLASSES for 1-5 students on Tuesday (7/26), Wednesday (7/27), or Thursday (7/28).

KITS (Incoming Kindergarteners)

● For KITS students, there will be NO CLASSES on Monday (7/25), Tuesday (7/26), Wednesday (7/27), or Thursday (7/28). Classes
will resume on Monday, August 1st.

This decision was not made lightly, but the health and well-being of our students is our highest priority.
We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please stay cool and remember to hydrate during
the upcoming heatwave!
